Capital introduction
We prepare managers for allocator diligence and introduce them to the capital introduction teams and registered placement agents that fit the fund's strategy, size and terms.
Readiness
Before any introduction, we work through the materials and evidence that investment and operational due diligence teams will ask for.
| Area | What we work on | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Pitch book and tear sheet | Story, structure and the performance presentation, reviewed against the marketing rule with counsel. | Materials that read clearly and hold up to compliance review |
| Track record | How prior performance is presented and supported, including attribution, portability questions and the records behind the numbers. | A documented performance file ready for diligence |
| Due diligence questionnaire | A complete questionnaire in the format allocators expect, such as AIMA's industry template, answered consistently with the documents. | A maintained DDQ and the supporting document library |
| Data room | Offering documents, policies, service provider agreements, audited financials and key procedures, organized the way reviewers look for them. | A data room index allocators can work through on their own |
| Operational due diligence | Operations, valuation, compliance, cybersecurity and business continuity, with the evidence behind each answer. | A mock operational due diligence review with findings |
| Terms | Fees, liquidity, lock-ups, founders' share classes and capacity, compared with what similar funds are offering. | A terms comparison to discuss with counsel before documents are final |
Targeting
We build the target list with the manager around the fund's strategy, size, liquidity and terms, and pace the meetings so feedback from the first round sharpens the second.
Introductions
Introductions go to the teams and firms that fit the fund, with both sides prepared so the first conversation is useful.
Prime broker capital introduction teams
Meetings and events through the prime broker's capital introduction program, with access weighed as part of prime selection.
Registered placement agents and third-party marketers
Introductions to registered firms that fit the strategy and size, with a comparison of their coverage and terms.
Consultants and research teams
Preparation for consultant screening and the ongoing reporting their research teams expect.
Fund interests are offered only by the manager and its registered placement agents, under the fund's offering documents.
Meeting programs
Target list
Allocator types and specific programs that fit the strategy, size and liquidity, agreed before outreach starts.
Preparation
Rehearsal of the pitch and the hard questions, with answers checked against the DDQ and the documents.
Meetings and follow-up
Every meeting logged, every follow-up request answered quickly and consistently from the data room.
Feedback
What allocators said and why they passed, fed back into the materials, the terms and the next round of meetings.
